Promoting Jewish Victimhood as a Guise for Victimising Palestinians
Last week the House of Commons unanimously passed a private member’s bill to establish a national Holocaust monument. While it is a good thing to commemorate the suffering of Jews in Europe, it is important to point out that uncritical support for Israel is part of the backdrop.
Edmonton Conservative MP, Tim Uppal, who introduced the private member’s bill, explained last year: “After I had decided on [accepting Minister Peter Kent’s proposal to put forward An Act to Establish a National Holocaust Monument], I ended up going to Israel with the Canada Israel Committee in July. Being there, and learning what I did about the Holocaust and Israel, just made me feel more reassured that this was the right thing to do and get this bill passed.”
Speaking in favour of the bill last week, Winnipeg NDP MP Jim Maloway also connected the planned monument to Israel. “I had the privilege and pleasure of traveling to Israel. … It was a very inspiring visit … I was amazed to see the progress made by Israel in turning deserts into productive lands and cultivating crops in the middle of the desert.”

Jewish Privilege? You're an Anti-Semite!! (Even though they are mostly Europeans)
Just thought I would whack this up here, from the National Post:
Thesis on Jewish 'privilege' rebuked, sparking row
Jenny Peto's 100-page thesis argues that today's Jews of European descent "enjoy white privilege" and maintain a victim identity by participating in "hegemonic" Holocaust remembrance programs such as the March of the Living, during which young Jewish people visit Poland and Israel. The University of Toronto accepted the defended thesis and awarded a master's degree to the 29-year-old, who is an activist associated with the Coalition Against Israeli Apartheid group. She's also Jewish and a descendant of Holocaust survivors.
The thesis, entitled The Victimhood of the Powerful: White Jews, Zionism and the Racism of Hegemonic Holocaust Education, describes Israel as an apartheid state.
All I can say is well done Jenny!! Don't let these hypocrites get you down! The zionists are the greatest threat to real Jews worldwide - time to turf them on their petards and fast!

I know it has been a while
Apologies to all who used to frequent my little blog. Life has been a turmoil for quite a while now, yet things are finally starting to enter a normal routine once again. I will endeavour to make some salient posts in the coming weeks, sort of a jumping back into the saddle again.
Doug, thanks for dropping in and asking what was up. It's all good but as you know life throws curve balls at us, and this was one place which got stuck on the back burner so to say.
There is so much to write about, and I will get busy doing so in the near future.
:)

Peace Train
Now I've been happy lately, thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be, something good has begun
Oh I've been smiling lately, dreaming about the world as one
And I believe it could be, some day it's going to come
Cause out on the edge of darkness, there rides a peace train
Oh peace train take this country, come take me home again
Now I've been smiling lately, thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be, something good has begun
Oh peace train sounding louder
Glide on the peace train
Come on now peace train
Yes, peace train holy roller
Everyone jump upon the peace train
Come on now peace train
Get your bags together, go bring your good friends too
Cause it's getting nearer, it soon will be with you
Now come and join the living, it's not so far from you
And it's getting nearer, soon it will all be true
Oh peace train sounding louder
Glide on the peace train
Come on now peace train
Now I've been crying lately, thinking about the world as it is
Why must we go on hating, why can't we live in bliss
Cause out on the edge of darkness, there rides a peace train
Oh peace train take this country, come take me home again
Oh peace train sounding louder
Glide on the peace train
Come on now peace train
Yes, peace train holy roller
Everyone jump upon the peace train
Come on peace train
Yes, it's the peace train

Terrorist Moose?
Clearly, this is a terrorist moose:
And, part of a larger cell.
Ottawa police have shot and killed three moose in the last few weeks. Their crime was to wander into suburban areas, and for this heinous crime have all had to die.
You can see below how evil the moose is:

The Gun is Civilisation
The Gun is Civilisation
Every Canadian should read this. It's something we've lost and I'm not talking wanton gun violence, or misuse. I am refering to exactly the merits this gentleman points out: A gun and being armed is a leveler an equaliser so to say:
he gun is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound woman on equal footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on equal footing with a 19-year old gang banger, and a single guy on equal footing with a carload of drunk guys with baseball bats. The gun removes the disparity in physical strength, size, or numbers between a potential attacker and a defender.
This is so true, and partly why the government don't ever really want their citizenry armed. Now that the majority of folks have NO means of defending themselves and through the usual scare tactics and social manipulations, ignorant people call for more and more 'protections' from our government agencies - all the while giving up our own freedoms and rights.
If you can qualify to get your gun lisence I advise you do so soon, because the way things are going it's going to be next to impossible to have any kind of arms in Canada soon at all - legally.

Dalton in Israel
Dalton McGuinty in Israel to talk energy, water
wrt to Canada Dalton says:
"“We’re just the opposite. Big country, small history,” said McGuinty."
What utter bullshit. Israel was created in 1948 - period. Canada was created in 1867. Gee which country has a 'longer' history? Even adding in the supposed biblical rule of 70 years and it doesn't even match. What a stupid comment, which belittles our nation besides being simply untrue. What about the native history of Canada (before she was conquered?)
So what was our dear leader yacking with the Israelis about?
“We ended the meeting by saying that what we’ll do is we’ll put in writing a concrete proposal because there are so many different areas and in particular we want to focus on the brain research, water, energy and renewables,” he said.
Ahhhh, water! They are spinning this in the article to say that WE can learn from them wrt conservation? Oh like the swimming pools in the illegal settlements? So, are we going to ration water to the undesirables of society so the elites can swim to their hearts content? Or are we going to ship our precious resource off to Israel? Give them some kind of water assurance?
How much of this visit has to do with this supposed free trade BS arrangement we have with Israel?
Time to boot this jerk out of office and his bloody brother too.
If you're in Toronto head on down to Queens park on Wednesday:
Province Wide Day of Action - Stop Doing Business with Israel
Perhaps the flavour of his constituency has something to do with this cow-towing and hypocrisy vis a vis apartheid and ethnic cleansing!
Oh, and just so no one thinks I'm only picking on poor little Dalton, the rest of our government (whether Lib or Con or NDP or any other useless entity) is right on side with this sickening Israel right or wrong nonsense:
Parliamentary coalition is calling wolf on anti-Semitism
Great read above detailing the nefarious infiltration of these pro-Israel groups into all levels of our government and their respective agencies! Thanks to Scott Weinstein for writing it and Norman Finkelstein for posting on his blog for me to find!

Great article on Aerosol Spraying and Weather Modification
I know this should be up on the cloudwatching blog, and I'll whack it up there too, but since this blog does get a little more foot traffic I simply must share this here as well.
As some of you know, I've not been able to keep as close an eye on the sky recently due to a rather sad family situation, but just because I'm not updating the Cloudwatching blog daily, as I was, doesn't mean they have stopped spraying daily around here. They are.
Please take the time yourself to look up, way up and call your MP (I know it won't do much, but if everyone harrassed their government lackey more often it might have some small effect).
So, here is the link to the article:
Heavy Metal Poisoning, Brain Injury, and Clandestine Weather Modification Programs - Connecting the Dots - Part 1
Dr. Kiburn's research clearly shows that chemicals do affect and seriously harm the brain [and, thereby, cognitive function]. Chemicals especially a daily onslaught of toxic chemicals over many years can damage our ability to think clearly. Even if we find this hard to believe, the evidence is there. Dr. Kilburn has expanded this essay into the first book to research this: "Chemical Brain Injury" (published in 1998). Dr. Kilburn notes:
The brain's preservation represents the only possibility of survival for mankind. To find in many parts of the country and in many individual patients that its function is eroded seriously by chemicals, chemicals that have been introduced into the environment basically in the last 50 years, is bad news indeed.(18)
It seems almost unbelievable that millions/billions of people could look up at the sky and not notice the dramatic changes that have occurred from what it was, for instance, in the mid-1990s. Then our sky was a gorgeous, deep blue. Clouds were a beautiful assortment of shapes. The sun was glorious. But people under 30, may not have a real sense of recollection about looking up every day and seeing this panoramic magnificence. Most of them are too busy texting or chatting on their cell phones. There are other issues to consider, as well: People are in their own comfort zones; and denial is a very powerful human emotion. In the hustle and bustle (now quite out of hand, for reflective time), how many people look up at the sky? It also takes huge courage, a very deep, internal willingness to examine politically motivated corporate controlled media spin, and search for the real answers. Humans like their regular routines. To re-examine what we think we know, based on new evidence, takes a willingness to think outside the proverbial box; to want to find out the truth not the pervasive Orwellian doublespeak that pervades our society. If everything in our daily routine belies what is truly going on, it requires fortitude to explore the unknown. We must question the litany.

Beaver dam visible from space!
World's Biggest Beaver Dam discovered in Northern Canada
Construction of the dam likely started in the mid-1970s, said Thie, who made his discovery quite by accident while tracking melting permafrost in Canada's far north.
"Several generations of beavers worked on it and it's still growing," he told AFP in Ottawa.
COOL!!!!

The Holocaust Won't Protect Israel Forever
Interesting read in it's self righteous honesty:
Haaretz Oped: The Holocaust won't protect Israel forever
If it were not for these guilt feelings, the Czechoslovaks would not have shipped us weapons during the War of Independence, the Germans would not have stood by our side in all circumstances and situations, and the Americans would not have supplied us with money and warplanes year after year. So it is right to connect Holocaust Day with Memorial Day. They are both the basis for Independence Day.
The world feels guilty because the murder of Europe's Jews was unprecedented in the annals of humankind. There has been no shortage of atrocities throughout history, but a preplanned liquidation according to a well-thought-out program aimed at wiping an entire nation off the earth - that had not yet occurred.
Well, I think that native populations world wide would beg to differ. There's nothing special in the Holocaust TM, it's just one of many examples of man's inhumanity towards man (usually pushed along by the elites of all tribes).
Still, give it a go, it is a little nauseating at times as it blurs the line between Zionism and Jewry, equating the suffering of a groups of mostly innocent people, to the deplorable actions of a rogue regime bent on being the chief bully on the block.

Organ Grinders
Israel Police uncover organ trafficking ring in north
Police also said that during the investigation they uncovered a large, very well-organized industry of organ trafficking. The ring includes organ traffickers, agents, and lawyers.
"The ring is operating throughout Israel and not only in the north, and appeals to the public through local media and internet," a police official said. "The organ traffickers somehow receive details about potential transplant candidates and they offer them their services," he said.
Well, it's clear this is a problem, despite the angry cries of anti-semetism!

Another Patheric Attempt for Sympathy
Holocaust Soap Claim Angers Jewish Groups
Yeah, well so fucking what? First of all, there was no soap made from humans by the Nazis. They did a tonne of horrible stuff, but soap making and crafty lamps weren't part of it.
My guess here is that someone was feeling a little worried about all the bad press Israel was getting, so to follow the blurred line between Judaism, Jews and Zionist Fascists decided to play a little pity game. I wouldn't be surprised if the f*n CJC and B'nai B'rith were behind the whole stupid farce."Hey, quick wave the Nazis and the Holocaust around some more, folks are feeling not nearly guilty and sorry enough for poor us!!"
Fuck gimme a break.
pitiful

Leave the Lights ON!!
Okay, rant time. Subject: Earth Hour.
What a complete and utter propoganda charade. The WWF (not what you would think) and the Global Warming Moonbats want us all to turn off our lights, in a Kumbaya sort of moment to protest - you got it - Global Warming.
Never mind that AGW is likely the biggest fraud perpetrated by the ptbs, never mind that turning your lights off will make NO difference whatsoever to anything, well other than the toe you stub in the dark, and never mind that this is simply brainwashing on a global scale to get you to give up more rights, more freedoms and prostrate yourself before the alter of global government and TAX collectors.
Fuck Earth Hour - LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON!!
(In fact, I plan on turning every bloody bulb I have on!! Since I usually have maybe two lights on at night - one for reading, and one in the basement in my son's room).
God, this crap makes me mad.

Police State Ottawa
Ottawa Police Add Armoured Vehicle
This thing has been purchased by the Ottawa Police department, at a cost of $341,000, from a company in Massachusetts called Lenco Industries.
I tried to look up who and what this company is and got another wonderful virus (well 5 actually). Hopefully, they are gone now - but odd that.
There may be ties to Haliburton. Hard to say since I crashed.
Penny, maybe you will have better luck - but don't take the risk.

Killing by numbers
Well, I never!!! How dare they!! Inflated numbers you say?? Nazis - run for the covers!!
It seems that some folks seem to think that the numbers of dead in Dresden was inflated by the Nazis!! This could well be, and of course questioning historical facts should always be allowed. That said, if anyone questions the number of Jews killed in concentration camps they can wind up in jail.
Nice double standard here:
Did Nazis exaggerate death toll in WW2 Dresden air raid?
New Agencies quoted The Times historian Frederick Taylor, as saying in response that the Nazis simply added an extra '0' to the total figure
Good think Frederick Taylor didn't say that about the 6,000,000 figure eh?
Now, I'm not saying that 6,000,000 didn't die, but it does seem odd to me that Auschwitz's numbers declined by 2.5 million upon re-evalutation yet the 6 Million number remained the same. Interesting math, but never mind that since you'll go to jail if you mention it.
Double standards abound.

Good grief...
I just was looking up different pics of embassies in Ottawa, to compare and contrast with the US embassy here. When I typed in 'Israel embassy Ottawa' my computer was attacked.
WTF???
WTF???
The Embassy In Ottawa
I've had to drive past the Embassy lately. I hadn't done this in a long time, as I don't go downtowm very often. It reminded me how much I hated the placement of the US Embassy smack dab in the middle of what is one of the most vibrant areas of our city. It should never have been allowed.
It's an ugly building, it has stolen a whole lane of traffic in an area which is congested to start with, the 'security' needs means police with guns everywhere, and it's a threat to every other building around it.
I hate it.
Note the lovely concrete barriers stealing a whole lane!
Here's a shot from the other side, clearly no better:

Israel targets Europe's Capitals
Well, this explains alot:
Israel aims its nuclear warheads at Europe
The seventh Israeli radio broadcast an interview with Professor Martin Van-Crevel, a noted world specialist in low-intensity wars. Former Professor of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Van-Crevel discussed publicly what he has been advocating for years in closed military academic circles in Israel and the United States.
In his view, the continued struggle of the Palestinians will inexhorably lead to the collapse of the State of Israel. Which is why Tel-Aviv has no choice but to "transfer" the Israeli Arabs and the stateless Palestinians beyond safe borders (that is, not only outside the 1948 borders but also from the 1976 occupied territories and, ideally, from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip). In the event the Europeans opposed such a transfer, in order to survive Tel Aviv will be forced to destroy the European capitals with nuclear weapons, it being understood that the Europeans will be unable to retaliate without annihilating their Palestinian friends.
“The Palestinians should all be deported. The people who strive for this (the Israeli government) are waiting only for the right man and the right time. Two years ago, only 7 or 8 per cent of Israelis were of the opinion that this would be the best solution, two months ago it was 33 per cent, and now, according to a Gallup poll, the figure is 44 percent.”
The author of The Transformation of War forcefully stated that, as of now, there are already nuclear warheads aimed against Rome and other European capitals that render the threat credible and the "transfer" of the Palestinians possible.

I have been dicking around for a few years now regarding the cats' shots. I don't do vaccines for myself, so why should I with the kitties? What about rabies? (booga booga). I found the following link on Holisiticat:
Vaccination for Cats: Helpful or Harmful?
Even in outdoor cats, vaccines may be unnecessary, as many diseases are not truly contagious. In these cases vaccination is useless since it is not directed toward the cause of illness. These diseases are immune suppressive (often autoimmune) conditions. The immunosuppression occurs first, allowing a virus, bacteria, or fungus to grow. We know this because healthy animals are unaffected by these organisms.
Organisms that fit this category include feline leukemia virus, feline infectious peritonitis virus, feline immunodeficiency virus, and ringworm (in most cases). Vaccines for these diseases are therefore of no benefit; in fact, they often induce just the disease they are purported to prevent. These vaccines are among the most dangerous ones available. The only prevention of these diseases comes from a healthy diet and lifestyle.
Very interesting read. I recall one of my own vets saying I shouldn't worry for at least 3 or 4 years between rabies shots. I've since done that and more (or less?!). Though with spring here and the local raccoons, whom I loathe, being out and about and causing trouble, I was pondering the ever fun lugging of all the kitties to the vets. Something evidently I find every reason not to do unless there's some kind of real emergency.
Which got me to thinking, so easily given my sloth, why am I bothering with any of them? Does the potential 'harm' outwiegh the potential 'benefit'? As with vaccines for humans, I would imagine in most cases the answer likely 'no'.
JUST SAY NO!!

Global Warming Causes Male Frogs to Lay Eggs
Well, not really - but since the environmental movements have been hijacked and no one in media hardly bothers to report on REAL pollution I'd thought I'd stick this little ditty up:
Weed Killer Causes Male Frogs to lay Eggs
Prof. Tyrone Hayes of the University of California, Berkeley, and colleagues reported their findings in this week's Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
"Atrazine-exposed males were both demasculinized [chemically castrated] and completely feminized as adults," said Hayes.
Atrazine is widely used by farmers around the world as a herbicide, particularly in production of corn, sorghum and sugar cane.
Earlier studies have found that the chemical feminized zebra fish and leopard frogs, and caused a significant decline in sperm production in male salmon and caiman lizards.
"Atrazine exposure is highly correlated with low sperm count, poor semen quality and impaired fertility in humans," said Hayes and colleagues.

An attack on Israel would be considered an attack on Canada
I told you so, we are owned, in fact we ARE Israel North:
An attack on Israel would be considered an attack on Canada
“In this ongoing battle, Canada stands side-by-side with the State of Israel, our friend and ally in the democratic family of nations,” Mr. Harper said. “We have stood with Israel even when it has not been popular to do so, and we will continue to stand with Israel, just as I have always said we would.”
Ugh...
Well, I suppose we all saw this coming, what with the clandestine signing of the Security Treaty with that shitty little country!!
Hey, Harper your strings are showing!!
Sick, just sick.
Edited to add this just for Penny - ha ha - or anyone else in need:
Update: I mentioned to Penny that I'd not seen anything on the cosher broadcasting corpse (CBC), yet I was wrong!! They do have a little ditty there - buried in the 'politics' section (ie NOT front page).

Food Irradiation
Expert Testimony on Health Hazards of Irradiated Foods
excerpt:
Irradiation works by splitting chemical bonds in molecules with high energy beams to form ions and free radicals. When sufficient critical bonds are split in organisms contaminating a food, the organism is killed. Comparable bonds are split in the food. Ions are stable; free radicals contain an unpaired electron and are inherently unstable and therefore reactive. How long free radicals remain in food treated with a given dose of radiation or the reaction products formed in a given food cannot be calculated but must be tested experimentally for each food. Different doses of radiation will produce different amounts and kinds of products.
The kinds of bonds split in a given molecule are governed by statistical considerations. Thus, while most molecules of a given fatty acid, for example, may be split in a certain manner, other molecules of the same fatty acid will be split differently. A free radical can either combine with another free radical to form a stable compound, or it can initiate a [chemical] chain reaction by reacting with a stable molecule to form another free radical, et cetera, until the chain is terminated by the reaction of two free radicals to form a stable compound. These reactions continue long after the irradiation procedure.
I am bringing this up to give you a rationale for the vast number of new molecules that can be formed from irradiation of a single molecular species, to say nothing of a complicated mixture as a food. Furthermore the final number and types of new molecules formed will depend on the other molecules present in the sample. Thus, free radicals originating from fats could form new compounds with proteins, nucleic acids [DNA] , etc.
These considerations lead to the following conclusions:
1. A large number of new molecules is formed. Therefore, irradiation is not a process but a means of adding new molecules to food.
2. Theory cannot predict the nature or number or quantity of the new compounds, which will vary with the kind of food, the season, and the location in which it is harvested.
3. Because of the above, extrapolation of the effects of irradiation at one dose to higher doses will not be valid for all molecules, notwithstanding that in several instances, the formation of volatile hydrocarbons from fats has been shown to be related to the dose of radiation in a linear fashion.
I am linking this here because Canada is a forerunner and heavy user of food irraditaion in many agricultural processes. Everything from fruit, vegetables and meat is often irradiated and no clear indication is given when one is purchashing these items.
You can tell irradiated fruit, vegetables and grain products by the fact that they will NOT spoil or rot the way unradiated food will. For instance, have any of you bought berries which never grew fur? Well, they were likely irradiated. Fungii, moulds and yes even fruit flies will not go near irradiated produce.
Something to keep in mind.
Labelling would a great idea, wouldn't it? Well here's the symbol to look for:

BOOB BOMBERS!!!
Oh good grief, just when you think it can't get any sillier, now we have the BOOB BOMBERS!!!
Seriously!! Women are getting explosive implants to reign TERROR on the west!!!
ARgghhHHGHH! Ugh.
Bosom Bombers: Women have explosive implants
Women suicide bombers recruited by al-Qaida are known to have had the explosives inserted in their breasts under techniques similar to breast enhancing surgery. The lethal explosives – usually PETN (pentaerythritol Tetrabitrate) – are inserted during the operation inside the plastic shapes. The breast is then sewn up.
I'm sitting here shaking my head. Speechless.
Who thinks this crap up?

Holocaust Rememberance is a boon for Israeli Propoganda
I just wanted to link this great article by Gideon Levy and posted in Haaretz this week:
Holocaust Rememberance is a boon for Israeli Propoganda
"How beautiful it would have been if on this international day of remembrance Israel had taken the time to examine itself, look inward and ask, for example, how it is that anti-Semitism has reared its head in the world precisely in the past year, the year after we dropped white-phosphorous bombs on Gaza. How beautiful it would have been if on this International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Netanyahu had declared a new policy for integrating refugees instead of expulsion, or lifted the Gaza blockade.
A thousand speeches against anti-Semitism will not extinguish the flames ignited by Operation Cast Lead, flames that threaten not only Israel but the entire Jewish world. As long as Gaza is under blockade and Israel sinks into its institutionalized xenophobia, Holocaust speeches will remain hollow. As long as evil is rampant here at home, neither the world nor we will be able to accept our preaching to others, even if they deserve it."

Sinking to new lows
Okay, I have to stick this up here, as I can't believe how utterly ridiculous this is getting. Notice the 'associations' made throughout the article.
Osama Bin Laden slams US over global warming
"Bin Laden said all the industrial states "are to blame for climate change, yet the majority of those states have signed the Kyoto Protocol and agreed to curb the emission of harmful gases."
He singled out former U.S president George W. Bush and the U.S. Congress for dismissing the agreement in order to placate giant corporations.
Bin Laden also called for a boycott of American products and an end to the dollar's domination as a world currency."
BOO!!

Perfect example of SPIN: CHANGING STORIES
Ha!! Caught RED handed, the CBC has now not only removed the original story (below) but changed the headline too!!
Here's what is there now:
"Conflicting reports have emerged over the execution of two Iranian men after state media claimed they were hanged for their role in protests related to the controversial presidential elections in June.
Prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dowlatabadi told state TV the two men were convicted by a Revolutionary Court of belonging to "counter-revolutionary and monarchist groups," plotting to overthrow" the Islamic establishment," and planning assassinations and bombings.
He said the two confessed during the trial, but did not mention of the post-election protests in connection to the case.
Rahmanipour's lawyer, Nasrin Sotoudeh, told The Associated Press the 20-year-old Rahmanipour was arrested in April, before the June election, on the charge of membership in an armed opposition group, the Royal Association of Iran.
Iran's English language channel, Press TV, said the two also had a role in the 2008 bombing of a mosque in the southern city of Shiraz.
But state TV reported that the two were executed "in the wake of the rioting and counter-revolutionary and anti-establishment acts of recent months."
Dowlatabadi did announce that five people have been sentenced to death for their involvement in the demonstrations on Dec. 27, in which at least eight people were killed in clashes between police and protesters and hundreds arrested.
He said nine people in total have received death sentences for their involvement in protests.
Hundreds of thousands of people have taken to the streets to decry the election results and voice support for opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi. Many believed President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had won the election by fraud.
Dozens of protesters were killed in the unrest and hundreds have been detained since June. Tehran has faced international condemnation for cracking down on the protests"
More spin of course, but I guess someone got a tap on the shoulder to tone down the blantent propoganda!! I hope my post there made someone take notice.

Iran has reportedly executed two men for their role in protests that broke out after the controversial presidential elections in June.
Iranian media reported the two were hanged for trying to topple "the Islamic establishment." They would be the first known executions of opposition activists related to the post-election unrest.
The men, identified as Mohammad Reza Ali Zamani and Arash Rahmanipour, were also convicted of membership in armed opposition groups.
According to reports, 14 activists have been sentenced to death for their role in the post-election protests and more then 80 have been sentenced to prison terms ranging from six months.

From Press TV:
Iran executes 2 for deadly bombing
"Iran executed two people who were convicted of carrying a deadly bombing in the southern city of Shiraz in 2008 that killed 13 civilians.
Tehran's Prosecutor's Office said Mohammad-Reza Ali-Zamani and Arash Rahmanipour were hanged on Thursday morning, Iran's Students News Agency reported.
The two were members of the Kingdom Assembly of Iran, an obscure monarchist group that seeks to reestablish the Pahlavi reign in the country.
The group has been involved in a series of terrorist attack in the country.
The deadly Shiraz bombing claimed the lives of 13 people and left more than 200 Iranians wounded in April 2008."

Bob Dylan coming to Israel
In light of Dave McGowan's Laurel Canyon series, and the depths of the CIA/COINTELPRO operations - it's a sad, sad day if Dylan (Zimmerman) plays in Israel, the Apartheid state.
Having been raised on Dylan, this turns my stomach.
Hopefully, he will change his mind. If not, well then I guess 'another one bit the dust'.

Scuba Cat
This is just too cute to pass up.. yeah I know another 'fluff' piece - but where would we be without a little levity?
Ron Paul Interview - Russia Today
I am consistently and pleasantly surprised by the level of journalism coming from Russia Today. Their interviews are far more indepth than the majority of mainstream productions here in North America. The CBC herself, who used to be well known for their journalistic integrity, has in recent years become a tarnished patina of its former self parroting and towing the corporate line in all they do - even the investigative reports which may intend to 'shed light' on the dark corners of corruption and outright crime within the 'white' collar world always hold key points back, and often are guilty of misdirection.
Now, I am not saying the RT is some kind of 'super' news and singluar truth tellers, yet the level of discourse is certainly superior to much of what we are fed.
Enjoy this interview with Dr. Paul - as usual this man is bang on the money. And to think... he could have been president.

Turkey and Israel
Not content with pissing off every single neighbour she has, Israel has managed to outrage the only islamic nation which regularily gives her the time of day without having to be massively paid off, like Egypt. I mean, good grief Israel - must you be such a bitch? Can you not help yourself?
After the frackus of dissing Turkey's Ambassador (presumably because of some TV shows aired in Turkey - that were - wait for it - disemminating 'anti-semetism') human rights group in Turkey have issued an arrest warrant for Ehud Barak, for war crimes committed during the Gaza Slaughter. Barak is to visit Turkey to attempt to 'mend' fences (... uh sure whatever) but could be faced with arrest. I would wager that there will be not apology from Barak, but a reminder of what the criminal state of Israel could likely do to Turkey instead. It seems that 'threats' are the only currency which Israel will utilise - with everyone.
While this arrest would be good news and of course a happy occassion for lovers of justice the world over, I wouldn't be holding my breath that anything will come of it. Rights groups have attempted these sorts of warrants before, to no avail as the governments themselves seem to be scared shitless of upsetting the little prima donna state of Israel. No, we won't see Barak's arrest, but for a moment we can all dream - a little.
