The Death Knell of CBC - R.I.P.
It has been a while coming, but has finally arrived. The state's broadcaster, CBC is finally dead. It may still have a website, it may still fill the airwaves with sound and fury, but for all journalistic intents it is a corpse, a rotting shell of its former self with no pulse, no heartbeat and devoid of a soul.
I have been watching this slow cancerous death occur for at least ten years now. At first, it was just a cough, a sniffle, a small shiver. One noticed a bias creeping in, colouring the headlines, shading the corners of reports, trimming the truth from the tree. As time went on, these biases became more blatent. Quality reporting of facts seemed to fall by the wayside, replaced with glam and sex, tabloid musings over celebrity, shock value stories and tramped up whores. While not surprised, as one wouldn't be if the lifelong chainsmoker developed lung cancer, it was still devasting to watch, like the proverbial train wreck one cannot take their eyes from.
The plug was finally pulled these last weeks with the introduction of the 'new and improved' web page. We now see the obvious censorship which has been going on for a while. At the very least before this changeover one could comment, and often find links to far better information within those comment sections. It was hopeful and pleasing to see that not all Canadians were fooled by the outright propoganda often filling the articles, some by CBC some by AP, you know the spiel. That is now officially over. There is no freedom of press in what was once a national institution, respected globally for being fair, honest and above board. No longer does the CBC even try to present an even handed persona. No, they have at the least, given that pretext up. I guess one could say they have become far more transparent, the truth out there for all to see, for all to gaze upon, like the exploited hookers in the shop windows in Amsterdam, or a stinking fish washed up on the shores of the Gulf Coast.
From the continuous selling of the Global Warming Lie, the double handed approach to all things Israel, the clear and utter censorship of their supposedly public forums and the added porn and glitz it is now impossible to tell our state media producer from any other hired presstitute.

Leave the Lights ON!!
Okay, rant time. Subject: Earth Hour.
What a complete and utter propoganda charade. The WWF (not what you would think) and the Global Warming Moonbats want us all to turn off our lights, in a Kumbaya sort of moment to protest - you got it - Global Warming.
Never mind that AGW is likely the biggest fraud perpetrated by the ptbs, never mind that turning your lights off will make NO difference whatsoever to anything, well other than the toe you stub in the dark, and never mind that this is simply brainwashing on a global scale to get you to give up more rights, more freedoms and prostrate yourself before the alter of global government and TAX collectors.
Fuck Earth Hour - LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON!!
(In fact, I plan on turning every bloody bulb I have on!! Since I usually have maybe two lights on at night - one for reading, and one in the basement in my son's room).

Killing by numbers
Well, I never!!! How dare they!! Inflated numbers you say?? Nazis - run for the covers!!
It seems that some folks seem to think that the numbers of dead in Dresden was inflated by the Nazis!! This could well be, and of course questioning historical facts should always be allowed. That said, if anyone questions the number of Jews killed in concentration camps they can wind up in jail.
Nice double standard here:

New Agencies quoted The Times historian Frederick Taylor, as saying in response that the Nazis simply added an extra '0' to the total figure
Good think Frederick Taylor didn't say that about the 6,000,000 figure eh?
Now, I'm not saying that 6,000,000 didn't die, but it does seem odd to me that Auschwitz's numbers declined by 2.5 million upon re-evalutation yet the 6 Million number remained the same. Interesting math, but never mind that since you'll go to jail if you mention it.
Double standards abound.

Israel targets Europe's Capitals

The seventh Israeli radio broadcast an interview with Professor Martin Van-Crevel, a noted world specialist in low-intensity wars. Former Professor of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Van-Crevel discussed publicly what he has been advocating for years in closed military academic circles in Israel and the United States.
In his view, the continued struggle of the Palestinians will inexhorably lead to the collapse of the State of Israel. Which is why Tel-Aviv has no choice but to "transfer" the Israeli Arabs and the stateless Palestinians beyond safe borders (that is, not only outside the 1948 borders but also from the 1976 occupied territories and, ideally, from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip). In the event the Europeans opposed such a transfer, in order to survive Tel Aviv will be forced to destroy the European capitals with nuclear weapons, it being understood that the Europeans will be unable to retaliate without annihilating their Palestinian friends.
“The Palestinians should all be deported. The people who strive for this (the Israeli government) are waiting only for the right man and the right time. The author of The Transformation of War forcefully stated that, as of now, there are already nuclear warheads aimed against Rome and other European capitals that render the threat credible and the "transfer" of the Palestinians possible.

Turkey and Israel
Not content with pissing off every single neighbour she has, Israel has managed to outrage the only islamic nation which regularily gives her the time of day without having to be massively paid off, like Egypt. I mean, good grief Israel - must you be such a bitch? Can you not help yourself?
After the frackus of dissing Turkey's Ambassador (presumably because of some TV shows aired in Turkey - that were - wait for it - disemminating 'anti-semetism') human rights group in Turkey have issued an arrest warrant for Ehud Barak, for war crimes committed during the Gaza Slaughter. Barak is to visit Turkey to attempt to 'mend' fences (... uh sure whatever) but could be faced with arrest. I would wager that there will be not apology from Barak, but a reminder of what the criminal state of Israel could likely do to Turkey instead. It seems that 'threats' are the only currency which Israel will utilise - with everyone.
While this arrest would be good news and of course a happy occassion for lovers of justice the world over, I wouldn't be holding my breath that anything will come of it. Rights groups have attempted these sorts of warrants before, to no avail as the governments themselves seem to be scared shitless of upsetting the little prima donna state of Israel. No, we won't see Barak's arrest, but for a moment we can all dream - a little.

Hate Crime Hoax? South Ottawa Jewish Cemetery Vandalised
Ottawa Jewish Cemetery defaced
I will state upfront - that vandalism not matter what is certainly wrong, especially a cemetery - no matter which denomination involved.
That said, I do wonder at the timing of this occurrence. This leads me to finding three scenarios which might explain this vile act:
1. The perps were actually neo-nazis and determined to spew their anti-semetism.
2. The perps were drunk teens doing what drunk teens do - act like idiots.
3. The perps were actually fanatical Jews themselves attempting to garner sympathy in light of the Gaza massacre and the Goldstone Report.
You go ahead and pick, but while you do keep in mind that quite a few of these 'anti-semite' attacks have in the past been perpetrated by the Jews themselves.

What ever you decide this was motivated by, it certainly did work to garner much sympathy for the Jewish community in Ottawa, and while everyone was lamenting this dispicable act - no one was talking about the crimes committed in the name of the Jewish State itself. It did manage to portray the Jews as helpless victims once again - a portrayal which in light of Israel's many atrocities is getting harder and harder to maintain.
So, you decide. As I sincerely doubt the guilty parties will ever been found or arrested.

Phoning the CBC
Well, I have a guilty pleasure which I indulge in which results with me having the tele on now and again. The other day I tuned into my mind numbing delight a little early and the CBC news was on. They were about to break for a commercial and were announcing the upcoming 'stories' (which is of course better described as 'fables' and 'tales'), but I digress. So, the little blonde announcer says:
"Coming up, Iran test fires NUCLEAR missiles!".
My head jerks around, since of course I am not in the room, but making a snack to go with my other little secret.
Was this a 'Freudian' slip?
The next day, while doing some mundane office work, I thought about it again. So, I called our local CBC, to inform them that I noticed such a glaringly false statement and that they should be more careful as many people are easily fooled!
The result of my conversation with this unknown CBC entity on the telephone went something like this:
Me: Hi, I'd like to point out a terrible error which occurred on your news broadcast last night.
CBC: (briskly) And what was that?
Me: Well I noticed that leading into the next segment before a commercial break your announcer stated that Iran had test fired nuclear missiles. This is not, of course, true and should be addressed.
CBC: I have the script, I can't see that here. Let me try to get up the video. It was clearly just a mistake - every one makes them you know.
Me: I imagine it was a mistake, but why then was it not corrected when the programming resumed?
CBC: I can't seem to get the video running... it was just a simple mistake, let me see the transcript again. People will know that it was just a word misspoken, I don't see why you find this such an issue. I can't get the video going (muffled typing sounds)
Me: Don't worry about your video, and I realise people make mistakes when broadcasting the news live - but surely others there would have heard her and she could have said something. That's all I'm saying - especially when there is such a war call for invading Iran, who doesn't have any nuclear weapons - it was kind of a big mistake.
CBC: I still can't get the video to work. Look I don't know what you want with this, she made a mistake it was unintentional, (getting huffy and quick now). Are you implying it was on purpose?
Me: No, I'm simply pointing out that this kind of mistake given the subject is rather grave and should have been corrected immediately.
CBC: (cutting in) Well people would have seen the piece after and realised that it wasn't a nuclear missile. It was a mistake, she simply misspoke and that's all there is to it.
Me: Well, thanks for your time and I do hope something will be done, but of course I don't think it will. Good bye.
I couldn't stand it any longer - if she'd said well I can't get the video to work one more time I think my head would have caved in. The clear message I got from this whole endeavour, was:
1. She didn't even believe me that it was said (continually referring to the video and script).
2. She saw nothing wrong with this simple 'mistake' which everyone makes.
What is wrong with this picture?
Well, aside from being impolite and gruff with someone who is paying her wage, she is basically accusing me of lying by repeating that she cannot find 'evidence'. She is also brushing aside and making excuses for a gaff which really should have not gone unnoticed by a so-called professional news service. I have seen them correct themselves before over far more mundane occurrences (i.e. not warmongering) immediately. So, why not this time? Her defensiveness throughout the entire conversation made me think that they knew full well what had been said, and just didn't care since it fulfills their objective of drumming along to the beat of the war machine.
I don't think I actually expected anything more, which is too bad of course, but cynically true.
The other thing which really was indicative of the level of service we get from OUR public news service was the total lack of cordial and polite behaviour on the part of the person I was speaking with. She was unprofessional and lacked any kind of common courtesy in dealing with a member of the public. This is quite typical of many government run offices that I have encountered over the years.

CBC: (cutting in) Well people would have seen the piece after and realised that it wasn't a nuclear missile. It was a mistake, she simply misspoke and that's all there is to it.

I couldn't stand it any longer - if she'd said well I can't get the video to work one more time I think my head would have caved in. The clear message I got from this whole endeavour, was:
1. She didn't even believe me that it was said (continually referring to the video and script).
2. She saw nothing wrong with this simple 'mistake' which everyone makes.
What is wrong with this picture?
Well, aside from being impolite and gruff with someone who is paying her wage, she is basically accusing me of lying by repeating that she cannot find 'evidence'. She is also brushing aside and making excuses for a gaff which really should have not gone unnoticed by a so-called professional news service. I have seen them correct themselves before over far more mundane occurrences (i.e. not warmongering) immediately. So, why not this time? Her defensiveness throughout the entire conversation made me think that they knew full well what had been said, and just didn't care since it fulfills their objective of drumming along to the beat of the war machine.
I don't think I actually expected anything more, which is too bad of course, but cynically true.
The other thing which really was indicative of the level of service we get from OUR public news service was the total lack of cordial and polite behaviour on the part of the person I was speaking with. She was unprofessional and lacked any kind of common courtesy in dealing with a member of the public. This is quite typical of many government run offices that I have encountered over the years.

Israel - Now asking UK to stop funding Breaking the Silence
Man I hope this is going to backfire bigtime for them.

Funny how they won't name them either isn't it? Does it make it harder for a search engine to find the article?
These Israelis are certainly getting desperate as they attempt to silence any and all who speak up against their injustices. Keep it up Israel, every time you do this you loose more and more of what little support you had.

Silencing Breaking the Silence
Well those pesky Israelis are at it again! Can't stand to have any negative press, so what do they do? Well, most of us already know - they intimidate, slur, lie and pressure anyone speaking out against their disgusting behaviour with respect to those they occupy.
Earlier this month, Breaking the Silence issued a report put together from soldiers' testimonies during the brutal assault on Gaza. It recieved a little attention here in North America, well it at least was put up on some mainstream news sources, of course always with the 'unconfirmed' add on. Now, of course Israel being the self conscious monster she is, hating when her crimes are aired, has sent her Ambassador to Holland to see the country's foreign minister to ask that any and all funding of the group be stopped!
Well, of course when Israel says 'jump' these toadies do what they say!!

According to sources familiar with the situation, Dutch Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen - considered one of Israel's staunchest supporters in the European Union - did not know that the embassy in Tel Aviv was funding Breaking the Silence.
Well, read it and weep - the mantra remains the same: YOU are not allowed to criticise us!! We are beyond the Law - we MAKE it and YOU follow it.
In a way, all this gnashing of teeth and pulling of hair by the Israeli administrations speaks greater volumes about their clear guilt. Rest assured, the world is watching, the world does know, even if her 'leaders' are jumping like toads on hot coals to accomodate the spoilt brat called Israel.

I've had a few discussions lately about this climate change nonsense. We all know about it, AGW or Anthropogenic Global Warming (hysteria), it is thrown our way on a daily basis in every outlet of mainstream media. As with so many issues dealing with science the mainstream does a rather poor job of it, or good depending of course how one views it and if certain groups stand to gain alot! I really noticed this myself when in my undergrad years I noticed so many errors in reporting just on my own fields of study. I wondered if they even had a science major on staff - at the least to check obvious facts - clearly they don't, or they are getting hosed.
As with almost all issues the media presents a slanted and bias view. Rarely speaking with real researchers, but instead with politicians, celebrities or activists, all with their own agendas. That is not science, and consensus is not science either. This is more of the Big Lie, another facet of the illusion. The co-opting of what was a secular non-partisan environmental movement into partisan political divisions has taken our eyes off real pollution and problems we could fix, just as they wanted.
I hope you all enjoy Carter's presentation, he does a very good job at pointing out the major flaws in the AGW Hypothesis, one which thankfully is standing on some very shakey and cold ground right now.

Neo-Nazis, the CJC and Agent Provacatuers
I know that quite a few of us already are aware of this, but hey, I gotta say: Way to go Ezra!!
Canadian Jewish Congress Organised Nazis
A Jewish-Canadian author is in a battle of words with the Canadian Jewish Congress after alleging the organization props up neo-nazi groups to get “hate crime” legislation passed and expand the role of the country’s Human Rights Commission.
Neo-conservative author Ezra Levant claims in his latest book, Shakedown, that the Canadian Jewish Congress hired ex-cop John Garrity to work for the Canadian Nazi Party in the 1960’s. In 1965 and 1966, Garrity was put in charge of membership for the group and organized the dozen or so “rag-tag band of losers” into an outfit that garned a lot of press coverage.
That media attention was used by the CJC to build up a precieved public threat that persuaded Parliament to abridge Canada’s freedom of speech, Levant contends. The CJC, which had been advocating restrictions on free speech in Canada since the 1930’s, used the Nazi Party’s publicity to successfully lobby for the 1971 “hate law” (Section 319 of the Criminal Code). The end result was the enactment of Section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act, which “empowers the Canadian Human Rights Commission to deal with complaints regarding the communication of hate messages by telephone or on the Internet.”

It certainly makes one wonder as to who and what are behind these so-called domestic terror groups as well.
It is my opinion that the CJC and B'nai B'rith should declare themselves as agents of a foreign government.
Seems these organisations have a long history of making the trouble they imagine themselves. Problem, reaction, solution.

In 1965 and 1966, the Canadian Jewish Congress helped organize the fledgling Canadian Nazi Party. That sounds crazy, but it's true, and I wrote about it in Shakedown, my new book about Canada's human rights commissions.
In a letter to the editor in the Citizen last week, the CJC's current co-president, Rabbi Reuven Bulka, called my book's description of the CJC's role "fiction." He said all the CJC did for the Nazis was buy them a bottle of rum.
It's true that the CJC did buy drinks for Nazis in the 1960s. That's pretty strange in itself, and I'd like to hear more of Rabbi Bulka's thoughts on spending Jewish charitable donations that way. But the CJC did a lot more than that: they hired an ex-cop named John Garrity to go to work for the Canadian Nazi Party.
Garrity helped organize that rag-tag band of losers, though they never amounted to anything except for fodder for the press.
There were only a dozen active Nazis when Garrity joined them and they weren't really a political party. He called them "harmless misfits," and they were -- their leader, John Beattie, was a nervous, gaunt, unemployed 24-year-old clerk who spent much of his time dodging angry Jews who tried to beat him up. (One of Garrity's jobs was to help Beattie escape street fights.)
Garrity brought more than just rum to the Nazis. He brought with him pretty much the only organizational talent the group had. They put him in charge of membership. Garrity called himself the "Heinrich Himmler" of the party, and a "Nazi leader for the Jewish Congress."
I'd like Rabbi Bulka's thoughts on that, too.
Of course, Garrity helped his paymasters at the CJC, too, giving them information about the names of party members and donors. And when Garrity finally quit the Nazis, he wrote a tell-all about his adventure in Maclean's magazine.
Garrity larded that report with personal insults toward Beattie and the Nazis. But he did acknowledge that they had never done, or even contemplated doing, anything illegal. All of the violence he witnessed was directed at Beattie, usually by Jewish vigilantes. "Sadly, it is the ... anti-Nazi extremists who, in their attempts to destroy Beattie, provide him with most of the publicity he craves. If it weren't for the riots and the assaults and the public protest meetings they hold, there'd be no real news in Beattie," Garrity wrote.
And that is the importance of this story and why I put it in my book about human rights commissions. Beattie hadn't done anything illegal. He was just a loser who believed in a discredited ideology. But the CJC wanted to bring in political censorship laws and I believe they needed to build up the threat to persuade Parliament to abridge Canada's freedom of speech.
Garrity puffed up a group of Nazi nobodies into a national menace, first through organizational support and then through spectacular media publicity. And, sure enough, Parliament enacted section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act, which censors offensive speech.
That's become a pattern. Twenty years after the Canadian Nazi Party vanished, CSIS, Canada's spy agency, inserted an operative named Grant Bristow into another rag-tag racist group called the Heritage Front.
Unlike Garrity, Bristow didn't play second-fiddle.
He became the boss, turning the Heritage Front into Canada's leading white supremacist group. This time it wasn't just Jewish money that was spent propping up neo-Nazis -- all taxpayers paid for it.
Which brings us to the present day -- and back to Rabbi Bulka and the section 13 censorship law. Canada's largest customer of section 13 is Richard Warman, who has been the complainant in all but two cases heard by the tribunal this decade. The CJC was so impressed that they gave Warman an award.
But, in a stunning human rights tribunal ruling last month, Warman himself was rebuked for posting anti-Semitic comments on Stormfront, a neo-Nazi website, including a message calling Jews "scum." Warman has stated that he was attempting to gather information on real Nazis, but the tribunal called his actions "disappointing and disturbing," and ruled that he risked encouraging more hateful messages himself.
Warman's actions appalled the tribunal, but apparently not the CJC. Just as the CJC did with Garrity, Nazi opponents continue to stir up neo-Nazi incidents -- as if there aren't enough real threats to Jews as it is.
Perhaps Rabbi Bulka can explain that one, too.

I think part of true freedom is the freedom within oneself not to concern themselves with what others may think of them, trueness and loyalty to one's own ideals is in its own way a form of spiritual and individual freedom.

It Just Gets Worse: Terror Round-up in Britian Complete Waste of Time
Well, it seems that these guys had nothing, hence NO evidence was found by the police to even come near to laying a charge.
I wonder whether or not this was another set up with a government mule to attempt to goad others into 'terrorist' activity - like our own Mubin Shiek. We know the Brits did this with the IRA, we know the FBI did it during the 93 World Trade Center bombings (and of course there is 911 too).
Wasn't it all rather convenient that a photographer was right there, to take that snapshot, which started the whole ball rolling! All at the time needed to divert public attention away from the abuse of power demonstrated by the 'security forces' during the G20, leading to the death of Ian Tomlinson amongst other at the very least non-lethal assaults.

The case against 12 Muslim men involved in what Gordon Brown described as a "major terrorist plot" amounted to one email and a handful of ambiguous telephone conversations, it emerged last night after all the men were released without charge.
Eleven Pakistani students and one British man were freed after extensive searches of 14 addresses in North-west England failed to locate evidence of terrorist activity, according to security sources. Police did not find any explosives, firearms, target lists, documents or any material which could have been used to carry out an attack.
