Gosh Israel is just as busy as the US in minding other folks' business and starting wars:
Israel backs Georgia in Caspian Oil Pipeline Battle with Russia
Last year, the Georgian president commissioned from private Israeli security firms several hundred military advisers, estimated at up to 1,000, to train the Georgian armed forces in commando, air, sea, armored and artillery combat tactics. They also offer instruction on military intelligence and security for the central regime. Tbilisi also purchased weapons, intelligence and electronic warfare systems from Israel.
These advisers were undoubtedly deeply involved in the Georgian army’s preparations to conquer the South Ossetian capital Friday.
Hmmm...

A little too late I see.
Not only is Israel busy in Georgia:
Israel 'using Kurds to build power base'
Where else are they?

why does this not surprise me in the least?
Israel aiding Georgia with weapons and more.
Of course Israel has quite the interests there don't they?
So maggie, question, do you think this could be a diversionary tactic and Georgia will withdraw troops, and while the world's attention is else where, Israel attacks Iran?
I think sometimes, beginnings are small.
;)
This isn't a small fish. Russia has, so far, managed to stay out of the kind of quagmire that the US has found herself in (mostly due to the blind support for all opinions Likud). This is and has the potential to be a very nasty thorn in Russia's side - not to mention the other baiting that is going on, vis a vis Iran
I hear the Israelis are pissed off now at Turkey as well - since Ahmedinejad is going to visit.
I'm still not sure if Israel will call the bluff though. It would mean WW3 or 4 however you count it. Yet then, there are those in both the US and Israeli Admins who think such a scenario is 'winnable'.
Hey,
I'm convinced Russia is a target. The Serbian/Bosnian brouhaha, the colour-coded revolutions, the bullshit Litvinenko assassination, these are all further strokes in the death-by-a-thousand-cuts that Russia is going to cop.
Did you ever wonder how come Russia went from basket case to significant power in ten short years? That's what happens when you throw out a privately owned Reserve Bank. Germany did the same in the thirties. From poor man of Europe to major power in ten years. And that's why Germany was smashed and it's why Russia is being smashed now.
I think you are bang on nobody.
Russia has been a target since they have endeavoured to clean up the oligarchs - those responsible for looting a pilaging on a grand scale after the destruction of the Soviet Union.
Yes - it's the banksters.. always has been.
If a country does not control its own currency, that country is NOT soveriegn.
Russia will inevitably be the target, but I am not sure if it is the time yet.
Isn't this Brezinskis plan, the Grand Chess board, which, god I have got to get around to reading!?
Too many books so little time :(
at the end of that pipeline is Israel, this is why Israel is concerned, there is alot at stake here.
If Russia controlled this pipeline, conditions may definitely not be so favourable for Israel as opposed to when American Puppet Leaders control nations.
Israel`s Stake in the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline

Michel Chossudovsky
"What is envisaged is to link the BTC pipeline to the Trans-Israel Eilat-Ashkelon pipeline, also known as Israel’s Tipline, through a system of underwater pipelines, from Ceyhan to the Israeli port of Askshelon."
Georgia has said they have withdrawn troops from Ossetia.
I will put a story up on my blog and btw: great info, it helps to get a fuller picture, much more so then the mass media of dumbdowness is portraying.
Yes the mass media do that don't they? It's wierd but when I was reading the mop and pail this morning the spin was so evident in casting the Russians in a bad light. The story was so convoluded that it made it seem like it was the russians who were responsible for the ethnic cleansing of the Ossetians...
Frustrating beyond measure.
It's pretty clear that Georgia was given a 'green light' by her 'handlers'. Isn't Soros involved there?
