The U.S. envoy to the United Nations told the Security Council on Thursday that troops loyal to Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi were increasingly engaging in sexual violence and some had been issued the impotency drug Viagra, diplomats said.

Several UN diplomats who attended a closed-door Security Council meeting on Libya told Reuters that U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice raised the Viagra issue in the context increasing reports of sexual violence by Colonel Gadhafi’s troops.

If it is true that Col. Gadhafi’s troops are being issued Viagra, diplomats said, it could indicate that they are being encouraged by their commanders to engage in rape to terrorize the population in areas that have supported the rebels.

The use of rape as a weapon during wartime has received increasing attention at the United Nations. Last year, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon appointed a special envoy on sexual violence during armed conflict, Margot Wallstrom.

Earlier this month, Ms. Wallstrom chided the Security Council for failing to mention sexual violence in two recent resolutions on Libya, despite having made the subject a priority.

Ms. Wallstrom said at the time that reports of rape in Libya remained unconfirmed but cited the highly publicized case of Eman al-Obaidi, the woman who burst into a journalists’ hotel in Tripoli last month saying she had been raped by pro-government militiamen.

The International Criminal Court is already investigating whether Col. Gadhafi’s government committed war crimes in its violent crackdown against demonstrators who demanded greater freedoms. The crackdown sparked a rebellion that has turned into a civil war.

The U.S. mission to the United Nations declined to comment.

An Ontario court has struck down Canada’s laws against possessing and growing cannabis as part of a ruling that found the country’s medicinal marijuana program is failing to provide access to the drug for those who need it.

Mr. Justice Donald Taliano of the Ontario Superior Court struck down the Marihuana Medical Access Regulations, arguing they aren’t doing enough to ensure patients can obtain the necessary approvals to use the drug. Simultaneously, he ruled two sections of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act – those that prohibit simple possession and cultivating marijuana – are unconstitutional, since they can be used to criminally charge medicinal users who haven’t been able to obtain such approval.

The ruling means the government must either improve its system for licensing medicinal marijuana patients within 90 days, or it will become legal to use or grow the drug for any purpose. The government can, however, buy itself more time by appealing the ruling.

Although the article at source does use the typical smears and jargon in regards to the use of cannabis, this is an important ruling which I believe could go either way. No doubt the government may simply take this opportunity to trash the entire Medical Marijuana (should be cannabis) program, as it is quite likely that we will be getting another Harper minority. Even if we end up with a Liberal minority, it will be the same thing.

I would just like to add that at the time of this posting the only paper carrying this news was the Globe. Forget the CBC these days, they are entirely useless.

It has been a while coming, but has finally arrived. The state's broadcaster, CBC is finally dead. It may still have a website, it may still fill the airwaves with sound and fury, but for all journalistic intents it is a corpse, a rotting shell of its former self with no pulse, no heartbeat and devoid of a soul.

I have been watching this slow cancerous death occur for at least ten years now. At first, it was just a cough, a sniffle, a small shiver. One noticed a bias creeping in, colouring the headlines, shading the corners of reports, trimming the truth from the tree. As time went on, these biases became more blatent. Quality reporting of facts seemed to fall by the wayside, replaced with glam and sex, tabloid musings over celebrity, shock value stories and tramped up whores. While not surprised, as one wouldn't be if the lifelong chainsmoker developed lung cancer, it was still devasting to watch, like the proverbial train wreck one cannot take their eyes from.

The plug was finally pulled these last weeks with the introduction of the 'new and improved' web page. We now see the obvious censorship which has been going on for a while. At the very least before this changeover one could comment, and often find links to far better information within those comment sections. It was hopeful and pleasing to see that not all Canadians were fooled by the outright propoganda often filling the articles, some by CBC some by AP, you know the spiel. That is now officially over. There is no freedom of press in what was once a national institution, respected globally for being fair, honest and above board. No longer does the CBC even try to present an even handed persona. No, they have at the least, given that pretext up. I guess one could say they have become far more transparent, the truth out there for all to see, for all to gaze upon, like the exploited hookers in the shop windows in Amsterdam, or a stinking fish washed up on the shores of the Gulf Coast.

From the continuous selling of the Global Warming Lie, the double handed approach to all things Israel, the clear and utter censorship of their supposedly public forums and the added porn and glitz it is now impossible to tell our state media producer from any other hired presstitute.

Last week the House of Commons unanimously passed a private member’s bill to establish a national Holocaust monument. While it is a good thing to commemorate the suffering of Jews in Europe, it is important to point out that uncritical support for Israel is part of the backdrop.

Speaking in favour of the bill last week, Winnipeg NDP MP Jim Maloway also connected the planned monument to Israel. “I had the privilege and pleasure of traveling to Israel. … It was a very inspiring visit … I was amazed to see the progress made by Israel in turning deserts into productive lands and cultivating crops in the middle of the desert.”

Apologies to all who used to frequent my little blog. Life has been a turmoil for quite a while now, yet things are finally starting to enter a normal routine once again. I will endeavour to make some salient posts in the coming weeks, sort of a jumping back into the saddle again.

Doug, thanks for dropping in and asking what was up. It's all good but as you know life throws curve balls at us, and this was one place which got stuck on the back burner so to say.

There is so much to write about, and I will get busy doing so in the near future.

Every Canadian should read this. It's something we've lost and I'm not talking wanton gun violence, or misuse. I am refering to exactly the merits this gentleman points out: A gun and being armed is a leveler an equaliser so to say:

he gun is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound woman on equal footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on equal footing with a 19-year old gang banger, and a single guy on equal footing with a carload of drunk guys with baseball bats. The gun removes the disparity in physical strength, size, or numbers between a potential attacker and a defender.

This is so true, and partly why the government don't ever really want their citizenry armed. Now that the majority of folks have NO means of defending themselves and through the usual scare tactics and social manipulations, ignorant people call for more and more 'protections' from our government agencies - all the while giving up our own freedoms and rights.

If you can qualify to get your gun lisence I advise you do so soon, because the way things are going it's going to be next to impossible to have any kind of arms in Canada soon at all - legally.

I've had to drive past the Embassy lately. I hadn't done this in a long time, as I don't go downtowm very often. It reminded me how much I hated the placement of the US Embassy smack dab in the middle of what is one of the most vibrant areas of our city. It should never have been allowed.

It's an ugly building, it has stolen a whole lane of traffic in an area which is congested to start with, the 'security' needs means police with guns everywhere, and it's a threat to every other building around it.

I hate it.

Very interesting read. I recall one of my own vets saying I shouldn't worry for at least 3 or 4 years between rabies shots. I've since done that and more (or less?!). Though with spring here and the local raccoons, whom I loathe, being out and about and causing trouble, I was pondering the ever fun lugging of all the kitties to the vets. Something evidently I find every reason not to do unless there's some kind of real emergency.

Which got me to thinking, so easily given my sloth, why am I bothering with any of them? Does the potential 'harm' outwiegh the potential 'benefit'? As with vaccines for humans, I would imagine in most cases the answer likely 'no'.

Prof. Tyrone Hayes of the University of California, Berkeley, and colleagues reported their findings in this week's Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

"Atrazine-exposed males were both demasculinized [chemically castrated] and completely feminized as adults," said Hayes.

Atrazine is widely used by farmers around the world as a herbicide, particularly in production of corn, sorghum and sugar cane.

Earlier studies have found that the chemical feminized zebra fish and leopard frogs, and caused a significant decline in sperm production in male salmon and caiman lizards.

"Atrazine exposure is highly correlated with low sperm count, poor semen quality and impaired fertility in humans," said Hayes and colleagues.

Expert Testimony on Health Hazards of Irradiated Foods

Irradiation works by splitting chemical bonds in molecules with high energy beams to form ions and free radicals. When sufficient critical bonds are split in organisms contaminating a food, the organism is killed. Comparable bonds are split in the food. Ions are stable; free radicals contain an unpaired electron and are inherently unstable and therefore reactive. How long free radicals remain in food treated with a given dose of radiation or the reaction products formed in a given food cannot be calculated but must be tested experimentally for each food. Different doses of radiation will produce different amounts and kinds of products.

The kinds of bonds split in a given molecule are governed by statistical considerations. Thus, while most molecules of a given fatty acid, for example, may be split in a certain manner, other molecules of the same fatty acid will be split differently. A free radical can either combine with another free radical to form a stable compound, or it can initiate a [chemical] chain reaction by reacting with a stable molecule to form another free radical, et cetera, until the chain is terminated by the reaction of two free radicals to form a stable compound. These reactions continue long after the irradiation procedure.

I am bringing this up to give you a rationale for the vast number of new molecules that can be formed from irradiation of a single molecular species, to say nothing of a complicated mixture as a food. Furthermore the final number and types of new molecules formed will depend on the other molecules present in the sample. Thus, free radicals originating from fats could form new compounds with proteins, nucleic acids [DNA] , etc.

These considerations lead to the following conclusions:

1. A large number of new molecules is formed. Therefore, irradiation is not a process but a means of adding new molecules to food.

2. Theory cannot predict the nature or number or quantity of the new compounds, which will vary with the kind of food, the season, and the location in which it is harvested.

3. Because of the above, extrapolation of the effects of irradiation at one dose to higher doses will not be valid for all molecules, notwithstanding that in several instances, the formation of volatile hydrocarbons from fats has been shown to be related to the dose of radiation in a linear fashion.

I am linking this here because Canada is a forerunner and heavy user of food irraditaion in many agricultural processes. Everything from fruit, vegetables and meat is often irradiated and no clear indication is given when one is purchashing these items.

You can tell irradiated fruit, vegetables and grain products by the fact that they will NOT spoil or rot the way unradiated food will. For instance, have any of you bought berries which never grew fur? Well, they were likely irradiated. Fungii, moulds and yes even fruit flies will not go near irradiated produce.

Something to keep in mind.

Dowlatabadi did announce that five people have been sentenced to death for their involvement in the demonstrations on Dec. 27, in which at least eight people were killed in clashes between police and protesters and hundreds arrested.

He said nine people in total have received death sentences for their involvement in protests.

Their interviews are far more indepth than the majority of mainstream productions here in North America. The CBC herself, who used to be well known for their journalistic integrity, has in recent years become a tarnished patina of its former self parroting and towing the corporate line in all they do - even the investigative reports which may intend to 'shed light' on the dark corners of corruption and outright crime within the 'white' collar world always hold key points back, and often are guilty of misdirection.

Now, I am not saying the RT is some kind of 'super' news and singluar truth tellers, yet the level of discourse is certainly superior to much of what we are fed.

Not content with pissing off every single neighbour she has, Israel has managed to outrage the only islamic nation which regularily gives her the time of day without having to be massively paid off, like Egypt. I mean, good grief Israel - must you be such a bitch? Can you not help yourself?

After the frackus of dissing Turkey's Ambassador (presumably because of some TV shows aired in Turkey - that were - wait for it - disemminating 'anti-semetism') human rights group in Turkey have issued an arrest warrant for Ehud Barak, for war crimes committed during the Gaza Slaughter. Barak is to visit Turkey to attempt to 'mend' fences (... uh sure whatever) but could be faced with arrest. I would wager that there will be not apology from Barak, but a reminder of what the criminal state of Israel could likely do to Turkey instead. It seems that 'threats' are the only currency which Israel will utilise - with everyone.

While this arrest would be good news and of course a happy occassion for lovers of justice the world over, I wouldn't be holding my breath that anything will come of it. Rights groups have attempted these sorts of warrants before, to no avail as the governments themselves seem to be scared shitless of upsetting the little prima donna state of Israel. No, we won't see Barak's arrest, but for a moment we can all dream - a little.

Well, our illustrious and outspoken minister of Israel and All Things Jewish has made a speech at the Global Forum for Combatting Anti-semitism a couple of weeks ago, December 16.

Read some excerpts below and weep, keeping in mind that Kenney chums around with the likes of the Jewish Defence League of Canada, which links itself and assists in the complilation of the S'H'I'T' list (Self-Hating or Israel Threatening Jews).

This guy is a disgrace and a danger to Jews:

"There are still people who would perpetrate another Holocaust if they could. That's why we must resist the error of viewing the Holocaust as a strictly historical event. It's not good enough for politicians to stand before you and say they remember and mourn what happened over six decades ago. They must stand up to those who advocate the destruction of Israel and its people today. They must be unequivocal in their condemnation of anti-Semitic despots, terrorists and fanatics, because those who attack Israel and those who sponsor such attacks do not seek merely to gain some leverage or to alter some boundary or to right some wrong."

He said, "they seek what they and those like them, have always sought, the destruction of Israel and the destruction of the Jewish people." Why? "A thousand complicated rationalizations, but only one simple reason: because the Jews are different, because the Jews are not like them. And because Israel is different and alone in a complicated part of the world, it is too easy to embrace the rationalizations and to ignore the truth. But our government believes that those who threaten Israel also threaten Canada because, as the last World War showed us, hate fuelled bigotry against some is ultimately a threat to us all and must be resisted."

Notice that he continually uses the trick of equating all Jewry with the STATE of Israel (and thereby the state's actions). This is done throughout the speech. It standard operating procedure and muddies the waters between a religious group and a single country's actions. It also lumps all diaspora Jews in with the State and thus 'guilty' by association.

I don't know about you, but I don't know of a single 'state' government which represents in anyway all of the individuals in its citizenry. Do you?

~ we eliminated the government funding relationship with organizations like for example, the Canadian Arab Federation, whose leadership apologized for terrorism or extremism, or who promote hatred, in particular anti-Semitism

~ We have ended government contact with like-minded organizations like the Canadian Islamic Congress, whose President notoriously said that all Israelis over the age of 18 are legitimate targets for assassination. This is outright BS

~We have defunded organizations, most recently like KAIROS, who are taking a leadership role in the boycott.

Future Canadian soldiers could be wearing new uniforms designed to provide camouflage on the streets of our largest cities.

The Defence Department will know by March what designs might work for what is being called a Canadian Urban Environment Pattern.

Those designs are to be based on the "unique requirements" of the urban settings of Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto, according to an outline of the project being co-ordinated by scientists at Defence Research and Development Canada in Suffield, Alta.

Ottawa, the nerve centre of government and the military, was left off the list because it doesn't rate as a major metropolitan centre.

Again, I know these aren't the best shots, but notice the 'mist'? It almost looked like snow, or freezing rain as it expanded and drifted downwards. VERY ODD.

Shortly after they began they stopped - it was as I said very windy and these things were flowing really fast towards the East. Later on though, mid afternoonish, I did see more trails to the north west, again drifting eastwards quite quickly.

Well, there you have it.

I might start another blog just for these shots. It's mighty strange stuff.

Just thought I'd stick up some shots I took on October 9. This aerosol spraying has been going on daily. On this particular day, I was working outside in the garden, getting ready for winter and such, so I was outside pretty much all afternoon. That evening, I was sneezing my head off - so were ALL my cats. The next day, my throat was scratchy and sore, nose running like a tap. I DO not have any allergies.

I will state upfront - that vandalism not matter what is certainly wrong, especially a cemetery - no matter which denomination involved.

That said, I do wonder at the timing of this occurrence. This leads me to finding three scenarios which might explain this vile act:

1. The perps were actually neo-nazis and determined to spew their anti-semetism.

2. The perps were drunk teens doing what drunk teens do - act like idiots.

3. The perps were actually fanatical Jews themselves attempting to garner sympathy in light of the Gaza massacre and the Goldstone Report.

You go ahead and pick, but while you do keep in mind that quite a few of these 'anti-semite' attacks have in the past been perpetrated by the Jews themselves.

What ever you decide this was motivated by, it certainly did work to garner much sympathy for the Jewish community in Ottawa, and while everyone was lamenting this dispicable act - no one was talking about the crimes committed in the name of the Jewish State itself. It did manage to portray the Jews as helpless victims once again - a portrayal which in light of Israel's many atrocities is getting harder and harder to maintain.

With all that's wrong with the world, and my own swamminess ringing true for the fate of Pakistan, I was wondering the other day about where our dear friend, John Dimitri Negroponte was, and what the devil he was up too.

I thought this might give me a clue to where the next disaster theater will be, once of course the US/UK/Israel alliance is done their upcoming work in the mid-east, namely of course attempting to blow up Iran.

Well it turns out that our dear friend, Mr. Negroponte has been named a director of the Council of the Americas.

Who are they you ask?

Well, nothing but a spin off of the Rockefeller creation, the Trilateral Commission, created by of course the same David Rockefeller who said this:

"We are grateful to The Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But, the work is now much more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries." David Rockefeller, founder of the Trilateral Commission, in an address to a meeting of The Trilateral Commission, in June, 1991

So, John Negroponte, who of course is infamous for the Death Squads of Central America is now heading this 'Council of the Americas'. Which brings me to think of the recent coup in Hondouras, and of course the non-reaction of the US. Here we have a democratically elected leader, Zelaya, who simply wanted a referendum so the people could choose whether to amend their own constitution to allow for more than one term presidency. How is that a bad thing? Well Zelaya, as many know, was also introducing reforms - reforms which would benefit the average person - most of whom live in poverty as the rich corporate masters continue to exploit the land and peoples. Well - we can't have that can we??

So, now that Johnny is back home, heading this Council of the Americas, will we begin to see a resurection of violence in Central and South America? Perhaps, as Johnny's reputation in Hondouras is certainly not a clean one.

Where ever this man goes, whatever this man touches, turns into a violent bloodbath shortly thereafter. He is a master at stirring up extremists, training them, and letting them loose on their own populations. As we already know, his involvement in the death squads, trained at the infamous 'School of the Americas', is of course legendary. His further mission, as Ambassador to Iraq, was followed by the creation of their own death squads, same for his involvement in Afghanistan and of course more recently - Pakistan.

This does not bode well for either South or Central America, where exploitation has been the norm for over a century. Yet, those feisty folks are fighting back. Chavez, Morales and others have awakened a pride and yearning for their own freedom, freedom from the overwhelmingly oppressive influences of the US and her corporate masters. Obama, the Prince of Peace, according to Nobel, has announced further US bases to be built in Colombia (the US' whore on the continent), he had said he would shut down the School of the Americas, but well - he hasn't (what else is new - has this man actually done anything?). Keep in mind, that the coup leaders, primarily Vasquez, the Joint Chief of Staff and Gen. Suazo both trained at the infamous, SOA. Coincidence? Hardly.

They are still in control.

That said, I think we will see more problems arise, now that Johnny boy is back.

Keep your eye on this man - death is his sidekick and where ever he goes, she follows.

Phoning the CBC

Well, I have a guilty pleasure which I indulge in which results with me having the tele on now and again. The other day I tuned into my mind numbing delight a little early and the CBC news was on. They were about to break for a commercial and were announcing the upcoming 'stories' (which is of course better described as 'fables' and 'tales'), but I digress. So, the little blonde announcer says:

"Coming up, Iran test fires NUCLEAR missiles!".

My head jerks around, since of course I am not in the room, but making a snack to go with my other little secret.

Was this a 'Freudian' slip?

The next day, while doing some mundane office work, I thought about it again. So, I called our local CBC, to inform them that I noticed such a glaringly false statement and that they should be more careful as many people are easily fooled!

The result of my conversation with this unknown CBC entity on the telephone went something like this:

Me: Hi, I'd like to point out a terrible error which occurred on your news broadcast last night.

CBC: (briskly) And what was that?

Me: Well I noticed that leading into the next segment before a commercial break your announcer stated that Iran had test fired nuclear missiles. This is not, of course, true and should be addressed.

CBC: I have the script, I can't see that here. Let me try to get up the video. It was clearly just a mistake - every one makes them you know.

Me: I imagine it was a mistake, but why then was it not corrected when the programming resumed?

CBC: I can't seem to get the video running... it was just a simple mistake, let me see the transcript again. People will know that it was just a word misspoken, I don't see why you find this such an issue. I can't get the video going (muffled typing sounds)

Me: Don't worry about your video, and I realise people make mistakes when broadcasting the news live - but surely others there would have heard her and she could have said something. That's all I'm saying - especially when there is such a war call for invading Iran, who doesn't have any nuclear weapons - it was kind of a big mistake.

CBC: I still can't get the video to work. Look I don't know what you want with this, she made a mistake it was unintentional, (getting huffy and quick now). Are you implying it was on purpose?

Me: No, I'm simply pointing out that this kind of mistake given the subject is rather grave and should have been corrected immediately.

CBC: (cutting in) Well people would have seen the piece after and realised that it wasn't a nuclear missile. It was a mistake, she simply misspoke and that's all there is to it.

Me: Well, thanks for your time and I do hope something will be done, but of course I don't think it will. Good bye.

I couldn't stand it any longer - if she'd said well I can't get the video to work one more time I think my head would have caved in. The clear message I got from this whole endeavour, was:

1. She didn't even believe me that it was said (continually referring to the video and script).

2. She saw nothing wrong with this simple 'mistake' which everyone makes.

What is wrong with this picture?

Well, aside from being impolite and gruff with someone who is paying her wage, she is basically accusing me of lying by repeating that she cannot find 'evidence'. She is also brushing aside and making excuses for a gaff which really should have not gone unnoticed by a so-called professional news service. I have seen them correct themselves before over far more mundane occurrences (i.e. not warmongering) immediately. So, why not this time? Her defensiveness throughout the entire conversation made me think that they knew full well what had been said, and just didn't care since it fulfills their objective of drumming along to the beat of the war machine.

I don't think I actually expected anything more, which is too bad of course, but cynically true.

The other thing which really was indicative of the level of service we get from OUR public news service was the total lack of cordial and polite behaviour on the part of the person I was speaking with. She was unprofessional and lacked any kind of common courtesy in dealing with a member of the public. This is quite typical of many government run offices that I have encountered over the years.

Congratulations to Marc Lemire and his small victory against the likes of Richard Warman and the Nazis at the Canadian Human wRongs Commission. Of course, our dear friends and protectors at the Canadian Jewish Council are in a fit, well good, isn't that their normal state of being anyway? Richard Warman must be foaming at the mouth, again a natural state for this uber-whiner!

So, what does this decision actually mean? Legally, not much - as the law still stands. However, judge Hadjis has said that he has interpreted it as unconstitutional, so now the ball is in the hands of the courts - who alone have the power to strike down section 13.

At the very least, Marc's site, Freedom Site, will remain online. This is a good thing, whether one agrees with Lemire or not.

Along with leaving fellow citizens in desperate conditions abroad, our government has also decided to let Israel dictate the treatment of our own people! This, of course, should not come as a surprise for those who have seen the fealty of our elected representatives to a foreign state:

A tough Israeli crackdown that discriminates against some American citizens because they are of Palestinian origin has been sharply protested by the Obama administration, but the same treatment curtailing freedom of movement for Canadian citizens has produced no response from the Harper government.

Border guards at Israel's Ben Gurion airport have been barring entry to arriving Canadian and American citizens with Palestinian-sounding names. They are told they must make a long detour and enter via the Allenby Bridge land-border crossing that connects the West Bank with Jordan. On arrival there, their passports are stamped “Palestinian Authority only” – preventing them from entering Israel, including the annexed parts of East Jerusalem.

First off - I loathe the hyphenated Canadian thing. Are you Canadian? Fine - drop the bloody origin term it stinks of division.

Secondly, what this article fails to mention is the likely hood of this action being supported by the Security Treaty Canada signed recently with Israel. (You know the one NO ONE talks about).

Thirdly, while Cannon ignores the plight of these Canadians, he's right on the bandwagon to demonise Iran, by calling for the release of a so-called Canadian arrested there for incitement. That's fine, but don't kid yourself - Cannon is not doing this out of the goodness of his heart (he hasn't got one), he's doing it because his masters are telling him too!! It plays into the 'Let's attack Iran' mood so prevalent in our media and governments these days.

In the meantime, the Israelis will continue to oppress the Palestinians and anyone with a single droplet of aboriginal blood from that area they covet so dearly.

I guess Bernie baby doesn't like the term 'apartheid' or that the UCC has named the ministers (you know the ones supposedly working for the CANADIAN constituents) whom have taken free trips to Israel as well as those who hold dual citizenship.

It recieved a little attention here in North America, well it at least was put up on some mainstream news sources, of course always with the 'unconfirmed' add on. Now, of course Israel being the self conscious monster she is, hating when her crimes are aired, has sent her Ambassador to Holland to see the country's foreign minister to ask that any and all funding of the group be stopped!

Well, of course when Israel says 'jump' these toadies do what they say!!

Well, read it and weep - the mantra remains the same: YOU are not allowed to criticise us!! We are beyond the Law - we MAKE it and YOU follow it.

In light of a few other events, I thought I'd post this up. Hedy is a brave and honourable woman - a rare bird and hero. The fanatic who assaulted this woman for her beliefs and her will to stand up to evil does more harm to his precious zionist Israel than Hedy could ever do.

I think they are getting desperate, which is of course a double edged sword. While is exposes the ugliest side of the extremists on both sides of the issue of the Occupation, a desperate animal, one backed into a corner can be a very dangerous one. Things are certainly heating up, nearing the boiling point. The current situation cannot maintain itself for much longer - all Hell will break loose and it won't be won by a simple PR barrage.

I've had a few discussions lately about this climate change nonsense. We all know about it, AGW or Anthropogenic Global Warming (hysteria), it is thrown our way on a daily basis in every outlet of mainstream media. As with so many issues dealing with science the mainstream does a rather poor job of it, or good depending of course how one views it and if certain groups stand to gain alot! I really noticed this myself when in my undergrad years I noticed so many errors in reporting just on my own fields of study. I wondered if they even had a science major on staff - at the least to check obvious facts - clearly they don't, or they are getting hosed.

As with almost all issues the media presents a slanted and bias view. Rarely speaking with real researchers, but instead with politicians, celebrities or activists, all with their own agendas. That is not science, and consensus is not science either. This is more of the Big Lie, another facet of the illusion. The co-opting of what was a secular non-partisan environmental movement into partisan political divisions has taken our eyes off real pollution and problems we could fix, just as they wanted.

I hope you all enjoy Carter's presentation, he does a very good job at pointing out the major flaws in the AGW Hypothesis, one which thankfully is standing on some very shakey and cold ground right now.

I write this in the hopes that others who have suffered the cruel fate of having their animals sprayed by a skunk will learn how to deal with the issue of lingering stench.

I have a killer kat. He often eats squirrels and bunnies. I think he maybe thought that the skunk was a larger squirrel. Not so, clearly.

He got sprayed. Full on.. in the face. Then of course proceeded to run wild through every room in the house. He is hiding right now, somewhere outside, drooling and moaning. I'll let him calm down a bit, then it's treatment time.

I went to the drug store, thankfully it opens early, myself reeking to highest of heavens. Yes I got some looks, but then what do I care what others may or may not think of me!? I purchased some Selsun, not Selsun blue, but regular old Selsun with 2.5% Selenium Sulphide.

This will be applied to the cat, carefully, then rinsed again, taking caution not to lose half the skin on my arms in the process. The Selsun acts via an exchange reaction with the sulphides in the skunk stink, rendering it virtually odourless. Thank goodness for my uni days spent in chemistry!

Canadian Jewish Congress Organised Nazis

A Jewish-Canadian author is in a battle of words with the Canadian Jewish Congress after alleging the organization props up neo-nazi groups to get “hate crime” legislation passed and expand the role of the country’s Human Rights Commission.

Neo-conservative author Ezra Levant claims in his latest book, Shakedown, that the Canadian Jewish Congress hired ex-cop John Garrity to work for the Canadian Nazi Party in the 1960’s. In 1965 and 1966, Garrity was put in charge of membership for the group and organized the dozen or so “rag-tag band of losers” into an outfit that garned a lot of press coverage.

That media attention was used by the CJC to build up a precieved public threat that persuaded Parliament to abridge Canada’s freedom of speech, Levant contends. The CJC, which had been advocating restrictions on free speech in Canada since the 1930’s, used the Nazi Party’s publicity to successfully lobby for the 1971 “hate law” (Section 319 of the Criminal Code). The end result was the enactment of Section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act, which “empowers the Canadian Human Rights Commission to deal with complaints regarding the communication of hate messages by telephone or on the Internet.”

It certainly makes one wonder as to who and what are behind these so-called domestic terror groups as well.

It is my opinion that the CJC and B'nai B'rith should declare themselves as agents of a foreign government.

Why Did the Jewish Congress Build Up the Nazi Party?

The above, please read it all - it's Ezra at his finest - contains his response to Bulka's own rant in the Ottawa Citizen:

In 1965 and 1966, the Canadian Jewish Congress helped organize the fledgling Canadian Nazi Party. That sounds crazy, but it's true, and I wrote about it in Shakedown, my new book about Canada's human rights commissions.

In a letter to the editor in the Citizen last week, the CJC's current co-president, Rabbi Reuven Bulka, called my book's description of the CJC's role "fiction." He said all the CJC did for the Nazis was buy them a bottle of rum.

It's true that the CJC did buy drinks for Nazis in the 1960s. That's pretty strange in itself, and I'd like to hear more of Rabbi Bulka's thoughts on spending Jewish charitable donations that way. But the CJC did a lot more than that: they hired an ex-cop named John Garrity to go to work for the Canadian Nazi Party.

Garrity helped organize that rag-tag band of losers, though they never amounted to anything except for fodder for the press.

There were only a dozen active Nazis when Garrity joined them and they weren't really a political party. He called them "harmless misfits," and they were -- their leader, John Beattie, was a nervous, gaunt, unemployed 24-year-old clerk who spent much of his time dodging angry Jews who tried to beat him up. (One of Garrity's jobs was to help Beattie escape street fights.)

Garrity brought more than just rum to the Nazis. He brought with him pretty much the only organizational talent the group had. They put him in charge of membership. Garrity called himself the "Heinrich Himmler" of the party, and a "Nazi leader for the Jewish Congress."

I'd like Rabbi Bulka's thoughts on that, too.

Of course, Garrity helped his paymasters at the CJC, too, giving them information about the names of party members and donors. And when Garrity finally quit the Nazis, he wrote a tell-all about his adventure in Maclean's magazine.

Garrity larded that report with personal insults toward Beattie and the Nazis. But he did acknowledge that they had never done, or even contemplated doing, anything illegal. All of the violence he witnessed was directed at Beattie, usually by Jewish vigilantes. "Sadly, it is the ... anti-Nazi extremists who, in their attempts to destroy Beattie, provide him with most of the publicity he craves. If it weren't for the riots and the assaults and the public protest meetings they hold, there'd be no real news in Beattie," Garrity wrote.

And that is the importance of this story and why I put it in my book about human rights commissions. Beattie hadn't done anything illegal. He was just a loser who believed in a discredited ideology. But the CJC wanted to bring in political censorship laws and I believe they needed to build up the threat to persuade Parliament to abridge Canada's freedom of speech.

Garrity puffed up a group of Nazi nobodies into a national menace, first through organizational support and then through spectacular media publicity. And, sure enough, Parliament enacted section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act, which censors offensive speech.

That's become a pattern. Twenty years after the Canadian Nazi Party vanished, CSIS, Canada's spy agency, inserted an operative named Grant Bristow into another rag-tag racist group called the Heritage Front.

Unlike Garrity, Bristow didn't play second-fiddle.

He became the boss, turning the Heritage Front into Canada's leading white supremacist group. This time it wasn't just Jewish money that was spent propping up neo-Nazis -- all taxpayers paid for it.

Which brings us to the present day -- and back to Rabbi Bulka and the section 13 censorship law. Canada's largest customer of section 13 is Richard Warman, who has been the complainant in all but two cases heard by the tribunal this decade. The CJC was so impressed that they gave Warman an award.

But, in a stunning human rights tribunal ruling last month, Warman himself was rebuked for posting anti-Semitic comments on Stormfront, a neo-Nazi website, including a message calling Jews "scum." Warman has stated that he was attempting to gather information on real Nazis, but the tribunal called his actions "disappointing and disturbing," and ruled that he risked encouraging more hateful messages himself.

Warman's actions appalled the tribunal, but apparently not the CJC. Just as the CJC did with Garrity, Nazi opponents continue to stir up neo-Nazi incidents -- as if there aren't enough real threats to Jews as it is.

Perhaps Rabbi Bulka can explain that one, too.

Canadian politician sues Jewish Groups

Lesley Hughes, who was dumped as a Liberal candidate in a Winnipeg-area electoral district, claims the Canadian Jewish Congress and B'nai Brith Canada made false and defamatory accusations that she is anti-Semitic.

In a lawsuit filed June 16, Hughes alleges that as a result of the actions of the CJC and B'nai Brith, former federal Liberal leader Stephane Dion revoked her candidacy in last September's federal elections.

Hughes is suing the organizations, four of its senior members and Peter Kent, now a federal Cabinet minister who represents a heavily Jewish Toronto-area district.

In her lawsuit Hughes acknowledges that in a 2002 article in a Winnipeg community newspaper, she repeated a variation of the Internet canard that legions of Jews avoided death in the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center because the Mossad knew of the attacks in advance.

"Israeli businesses, which had offices in the Towers, vacated the premises a week before the attacks, breaking their lease to do it," she wrote.

Well, Leslie I admire your fortitude, and wish you all the luck in the world, as you will need it - badly. No matter the threats waged against you and your family and friends - please don't settle.

Though, I predict that this will be dropped. It is a 'David and Goliath' struggle which is stacked in favour of the Goliaths - the 'Jewish' organisations - which of course should really be called Zionist, as these radical bastards don't represent all Jews and tend to give Judaism a REALLY bad name.

Ottawa pledges $1M for anti-Semitism task force

Frank Dimant, B’nai Brith Canada’s executive vice-president, spoke of the verbal and physical attacks perpetrated against Jewish and pro-Zionist students at university campuses across Canada over the past year.

It seems unthinkable, he mused, that in this day and age, “Canadian universities would be the hotbed of anti-Semitism, disguised as anti-Zionism.”

Dimant went on to praise Canada’s boycott of the United Nations recent followup to its 2001 anti-racism conference, as well as Kenney’s role as a supporter of the Jewish community.

“Your government has been a trailblazer… [and] we are proud to call Canada a friend and ally,” Dimant said.

A couple of things on Dimant's comments: One, there is difference between the behaviour of Israel's government and the feeling of Jews world wide, Frank. Equating the two puts all Jews in the basket with the worst of the worst who are leading Israel into the pit of hell.

Two: Why is Frank saying that 'your' government has a been a trail blazer - gee Frank isn't it your government too? Okay, I started this post back in April... but let's put it up anyway:

Over the last couple of days I've seen a few articles mentioning that the Great and Wonderful Obama is considering 'geo-engineering' to solve the Goresque problem of 'Climate Change'.

This includes intentionally spraying particulates into the upper atmosphere to reduce the amount of solar radiation penetrating to the Earth's surface, creating 'fake trees' to sequester CO2

The above photos are just a few examples of what I see out my own window. The other night I happened to be outside at about 1:00 AM, highly unusual for me as I am not a night owl at all. We looked up at the shining moon - it was a sickly orange and lit up many of these trails webbing across it in the sky. Sadly, the pics I took didn't work out - am in no way a photographer. Needless to say it was very odd.

This is going on alot around here, usually in the mornings and the evenings. It's the same as so many others note - the day is clear and bright and by lunchtime everything is a haze. Also, the flightpaths are overwhelmingly east to west - flying nowhere near our airport. Now and again they will do the grid thing, as can be seen above.

So, are these ideas for weather modification bantered around above just a cover for something they have already been doing?

Who knows - but these 'contrails' aren't what they seem. I grew up on air bases, we used to watch the contrails often - they always disappeared. They did not block out the sun and spread all over the sky.

I don't know what these are, but normal they ain't.

This equating being critical of Israel to being against Jews is a very dangerous route to go - it equates all of Judaism with the actions of a right wing political ideology which has been making many serious mistakes with her neighbours for quite some time now, not to mention behaving in a manner that many Jews find abhorent in and of itself.

But, clearly Mr. Kenney (who knew he won that title of Best Overall MP?) has been fully briefed by his handlers and continues to sow seeds of contention through out the world!

I'd been thinking on what got Lee to my obscure little blog - the only thing I can come up with is that his reward for the murder of other humans holding different ideological beliefs than the extremist position of Lee's was simply ILLEGAL.

There was an article this morning on the CBC website announcing that the Mexican genome has been mapped. Being the dot-connector I am, as well as a cynic, I instantly thought: Hmmmm H1N1... coincidence?

So, I took to the search engine and found this rather interesting article, tying gene specific weapons to the whole PNAC debacle, as well as the murder for Dr. Kelly along with numerous other microbiologists:

Given that the Mexicans fared the worst with this 'Swine' flu fiasco, it certainly leaves me shaking my head.

None of this is beyond the folks who hold power. To them we are all useless eaters, needing a good culling - what better way than with a pandemic, targeting certain ethnic groups.

Maybe I'm wrong - I hope I am - but something really stinks about this whole debacle. If we see a H1N1 v2.0 surfacing - watch out if you have any 'brown' blood.

Pakistan... am I a swami??

I wrote this last July... just thought I'd bump it too the top again seeing what is going on wrt Pakistan:

Last year when John Negroponte visited both Afghanistan and Pakistan, my first thought was: Here come the 'death' squads! Expect to see increased violence and roadside bombings, kidnappings and general mayhem! (Afterall that is this gent's forte and history supports this - for both the role he played in Central America and Iraq).

It seems that whenever this POS shows up - civil unrest and 'group' violence escalates - thus resulting in the action which the occupier (the US) had wanted but couldn't quite justify without some kind of 'organised terror group'.

We've seen this all before - it's a wonder that so many don't recognize it for what it is: controlled incitement and invention of an enemy.

We've lost another one

First, my sympathies to all of those who loved her.

A Canadian soldier, Maj. Michelle Mendez was found in her room. She was 27. That is really all we know as the military is releasing no details.

I usually don't comment on individual soldiers' deaths, it is clear by most of my postings here that I don't believe we should be in Afghanistan, nor should our children be dying there. However, upon reading the story, on CBC, one thing hit me like a brick in the head:

According to published reports, Mendes, a graduate of Kingston's Royal Military College, had previously toured in Afghanistan and was among 11 soldiers who were returned to Canada for treatment in September 2006 following a friendly-fire incident that killed one.

While knowing full well that I am cynical at best, I wonder now about why this young woman is now gone. Could there be some kind of connection?

The CBC article does not mention the incident, however a search has turned up this interesting report, wherein the Canadian miliatry has blacked out much of the findings:

She had served previously in Kandahar. According to previously published news reports, she was in the area of a September 2006 friendly-fire incident that came during Operation Medusa, a major Canadian-led battle against Taliban insurgents that took place in the Panjwaii district west of Kandahar city.

Then a captain, Mendes was among 11 Canadian soldiers who were returned to Canada after the friendly fire incident, which saw an American aircraft mistake a group of Canadians for the enemy. It opened fire, killing Pte. Mark Graham and wounding approximately 36 others. The Canadian military has not identified what physical injuries if any that Mendes suffered then.

Mendez was in military intelligence:
The newspaper noted that she had opted for a career in military intelligence. "I was thrilled," the newspaper quoted her mother, Dianne Knight, as saying. "It's right up her alley. She spends the majority of her time reading and analyzing things, and she's so good at it."

This incident was basically swept under the carpet, with no charges being laid against the perpetrators.

Deaths such as this at bases are certainly not the norm, and should be considered disturbing at the least. It has been confirmed her death was not by enemy means, from the above article; "a non-battle injury that did not involve enemy action."

Already the lack of details, at least to me, throw up a red flag.

It Just Gets Worse: Terror Round-up in Britian Complete Waste of Time

Well, it seems that these guys had nothing, hence NO evidence was found by the police to even come near to laying a charge.

I wonder whether or not this was another set up with a government mule to attempt to goad others into 'terrorist' activity - like our own Mubin Shiek. We know the Brits did this with the IRA, we know the FBI did it during the 93 World Trade Center bombings (and of course there is 911 too).

Wasn't it all rather convenient that a photographer was right there, to take that snapshot, which started the whole ball rolling! All at the time needed to divert public attention away from the abuse of power demonstrated by the 'security forces' during the G20, leading to the death of Ian Tomlinson amongst other at the very least non-lethal assaults.

I still see lots of hits on Rick's sad story.

So, I thought I'd give an update. It turns out that the school bus driver will not be charged with vehicular manslaughter after all, the charge has been reduced to negligent driving - a small fine and two demerit points.

There is something very wrong in this and it makes me wonder about this company:
Stock Transportation. Apparantly, they've been very busy buying up and taking over contracts all over Ontario.

I'll keep you all posted on any other developments. I hope that the family's civil suit will be launched and those responsible held to justice. This woman driver should never be allowed to drive again, it is afterall a privilege NOT a right.

While British officials haven't provided any details about what the men were suspected of doing, Prime Minister Gordon Brown has previously said authorities were on to "a very big terrorist plot."

Seems to me that this 'raid' was clearly executed for the sole reason of diverting attention from the misconduct of security officers during the G20. Like many of the round-ups before this, no charges will be laid, so in other words it was a grand farce designed to whip up more booga booga and keep the populace in fear of the ever present Muslim Terrorist.

What a joke.
